MD's Posh Plant Care Tips

Did you adopt one of my Posh Plant babies? THANK YOU! I'm so glad you did. I hope they bring you  a bit of joy, color, and happiness. So how does one get their plant off to a healthy start you might ask? Read on.

Bolivian Turtle 🐢

Care: Bolivian Turtle loves moist soil (but not soggy). Once the pot begins to feel light when lifted, it's time for another water.
Light: The Bolivian Turtle Vine likes bright, indirect light and you should avoid direct sun, especially in the summer. A North or East facing windowsill is ideal.

Temperatures: This plant prefers it on the cooler side - somewhere between 50° to 68° F and an average amount of humidity.

Feeding: Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer to your turtle vine once every month during growing season.

Tri-Color Bolivian Jew (Callisia Repens Variegated)

Care: Water thoroughly whenever the top few inches of soil start to dry. Don't let the plant sit in excess water that collects in the saucer.
Light: It prefers bright light and moderately dry soil.
Temperatures: Performs best at temperatures ranging from 65°F to 75°F
Feeding: When it is actively growing, give it monthly applications of balanced fertilizer to keep it vigorous.

Blushing Bride Tradescantia

Care: Water when top inch of soil is dry, don’t over water. Blushing Bride thrives in a well drained soil.
Light: Thrives in direct or indirect light.
Temperatures: Tradescantia thrive in temperatures between 60°F and 80°F, so they do well in typical indoor temperatures.
Feeding: Feed your plant monthly with a half-strength liquid fertilizer.

Spider Plant

Care: Spider plants like even moisture; not too dry or too wet.

Light: Keep plants in bright to moderate indirect sunlight.

Ideal Temperatures: Spider plants like temps between 55°F and 80°F

Feeding: Fertilize up to twice a month in the spring and summer, avoid over fertilization.
